Something new I’ve decided to start in the New Year is Prompt Friday. Since it’s the weekend and we’re coming up on a whole weekend just built for writing, I thought it would be cool to just toss a prompt out. Sometimes it will be a word prompt, or a sentence prompt, or even a dialogue prompt. Other times, it will be a photo prompt. No matter what it is, it’s all fun.
You can use the prompt for blog posts, short stories, poems, the next scene in your novel, or even a brand new novel. I hope you enjoy it and that writer’s block loses your address.

There used to be 6 of us. Now I’m alone, in the bathroom. Standing, looking at the beautiful winter scenery out the window. My wonderful children are having a great time and I am enjoying a moment in the quietest room in the house.
